Nissan's 2010 Altima is set to go on sale in the very near future--and it's bringing with it a new look and some great new features.

Available in sedan, coupe or hybrid variants, the 2010 models have received a restyled front fascia with a new grille, new wheels, revised interior trim and fabrics, new colours and new options packages. Nissan says that Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) will be fitted to all models for added safety, too.

Building on sales of well over 3 million units to date, the upcoming 2010 Altima comes with a standard 175 horsepower 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine and a potent 3.5 liter V6 with 270 horsepower in its non-hybrid versions.

Shoppers will be presented with a newly available premium Bose audio system with 9 speakers, a hands-free Bluetooth phone system, USB audio connectivity and a RearView Monitor backup camera system. A next-generation hard-drive based navigation system will also be available with a 6.5 inch display screen.

The navigation system also incorporates a 9.3 gigabyte hard drive for music storage and Bluetooth streaming audio playback. The latter feature enables music to be played wirelessly through the stereo directly from a compatible device.

Expect the 2010 Nissan Altima at dealer lots this month.
