Rangers record falls to 2-2
QUISPAMSIS- The KV Vito's Rangers scored three goals in the opening four minutes of a Saturday game against the Lewisville Rallye Motors in Bell Aliant Peewee AAA league action, but lost steam in the third from a shortened bench due to illness and lost 5-4. The Vito's were up 4-2 going into the third, with two goals from Spencer Buck and singles from Patrick Barry and Sam King. But the Rallye Motors scored three goals in the last period to overtake the Vito's. Brayden Tingley, Mitchell Robinson, Alexandre Gallant, Declan Buckle and Patrick Landry scored for Lewisville. A game against the Fredericton Canadiens on Sunday was cancelled due to a number of Vito's players being sick. The 2-2 Rangers play the Nord-Ouest Pioneers at home on Saturday and the Moncton Hawks on Sunday.
Bantam AAA
Vito's come away with win and tie
QUISPAMSIS - The KV Bantam AAA Vito's improved to 4-1-1 with a win and tie this past weekend at home. On Saturday, the Vito's defeated Acadie Peninsula Lynx 4-2 at the Quispamsis Arena. Mark Simpson, Chris Forbes, Devon Earle and Colin MacSween each scored single goals for the Vito's while Matt MacDonnell added two assists. Jean Legace and Pierre Marc Theriault replied for the Lynx. On Sunday, the Vito's drew a 5-5 tie with the Moncton Flyers. Colin MacSween notched a goal and two assists. Thomas Leonard and Chris Forbes each added a goal and an assist. Logan Saunders and Mark Simpson added singles. Tyler Johnson and Devon Earle each had two assists. Garret MacDiarmid and Devon Aldred each struck twice while Justin LeBlanc added a single for the Flyers.
Oldtimers
Alpines cruise over Premium Drys
SAINT JOHN - Angus MacKenzie and Paul Holah each scored twice to lead the Alpines to an 8-3 win over the Premium Drys in Quispamsis Moosehead Oldtimers hockey action. Scott Lewis, Pat Bagley, Glen Kettlewell and Steve Hynes added singles while Cliff Lanteigne, Tom Wilson and Randy Curnew replied for the Premium Drys. In other play the Alpine Lights doubled up on the Mooseheads by a score of 6-3. Shawn Dollemont (2), Wayne Gallant, Lee Furlong, Chris McMahon and Jason Arnold score for the Alpine Lights while Rick Frenette (2) and Willie Spence scored for the Mooseheads.

The Moose pounds Jani King
SAINT JOHN - Kyle Charlton's four-goal effort led The Moose to a 10-2 victory over Jani King in Jack Keyes Metro Gents Hockey League action. Trevor Baker and Norman Baker each added two for The Moose with singles going to Frederic Roy and Jamie Arseneault. Rick Harley and Mark Bradley replied for Jani King.

Cromwell powers KV Senators
SAINT JOHN - Thomas Cromwell tallied four goals as the KV Bantam Senators dropped the KV Bantam Canadians 5-3 in Southern New Brunswick Minor Hockey League bantam action. Ethan Goldsmith had the other Senators marker, his first of the season. Riley MacDonald replied for the Canadians with two goals while Andrew MacPherson added a single.

Active Physio takes it to Leons
SAINT JOHN - Glenn Piercy notched two goals as Active Physio dropped KGL Leons 5-2 in Jack Keyes Metro Gents Hockey League action. Andy Girouard, Gavin Ricketts and Mark McSweeny filled out scoring for the winners while David Myles had both markers for Leons. James Buckley scored a pair as the Alpines breezed over Saint John Toyota 6-1. Kirby Williams, Jon Gilbert, Russell Bennet and Del Watson added singles while Ralph Hooten had the lone Toyota marker. Sheldon McDevitt's five-goal performance was the difference as the Moosehead Metros downed the Thrashers 8-5. Steve Mcluskey, Wayne Stewart Jr. and Graham Targett chipped in with singles for the Metros. Derrick Sandford led the Thrashers with a hat trick while singles came from Troy Hueser and Mark Maybee. Brett's outlasted the Vito's 5-4 using goals from Troy Roblee, Geoff Mitchell, Steve Hurley, Scott Swain and Rick Deering. The Vito's had replies from Mike Flynn, Kevin Elliott, Rob Plume and Jeff Gilbert. Meanwhile, Jake's Warriors slammed The Moose 6-1 using two goals from Chris Hoffnan and singles from Ryan Ouellette, Jeff Cooper, Adam Brewer and Rob King. Stephane Bourque had the lone Moose marker.
