Quoting anonymous government sources, La Presse reported last weekend that the federal Conservatives would use the backdrop of softening support for sovereignty to run as the so-called unity party in a fall election.

I do not know where Ms Hebert gets her information, but the latest poll in Quebec re Federal voting intentions is as follows:
Liberals 30%, Bloc 29%, and PC,s 25%. If I remember correctly, the NDP is at 15%. So, how does Ms Hebert calculate that the PC,s are gaining. The Liberals have gained 12% in Quebec and the Conservatives have lost 5% in the last two months only.
