RICHIBUCTO - District 5 Kent RCMP is holding a workshop to improve community engagement and reduce crime on Nov. 24 and 25 at Richibucto town hall.
Since 2007, RCMP in New Brunswick have been putting an increased emphasis on criminal intelligence analysis, and working closely with crime analysts to identify the root causes of crime, monitor crime levels and detect trends.
In District 5, property crime has been reduced by 8.6 per cent since the beginning of 2009, according to police.
That translates to 89 fewer property crimes reported than in 2008.
