Tree lighting set for Nov. 18

QUISPAMSIS - The annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony will take place in Quispamsis Nov. 18. The event begins at 7 p.m. at the Arts and Culture Park. The mayor and council will be on hand for the ceremony. Refreshments will be provided and there will be a visit from Santa Claus.

Recreation

Learn to teach swimming lessons

QUISPAMSIS - During January and February there will be an opportunity for stay-at-home parents, senior citizens and those with flexible schedules to become trained to teach swimming lessons and lifeguard pools. In partnership with the Canada Games Aquatic Centre, the town of Quispamsis is offering a seven-week pre-employment pilot program to interested volunteers. If you would like to become involved, contact Megan Lucas at 849-5773 before Dec. 15.

Parade

Santa Claus is coming to town

QUISPAMSIS - The 11th annual Kennebecasis Valley Santa Claus parade will take place Nov. 21. The parade gets underway at 6 p.m. at the Kennebecasis Valley High School and will travel along the Hampton Road to Clark Road. Children are encouraged to bring their letters to Santa and a non-perishable food item for the KV Food Basket which will be picked up by Sobeys volunteers.
