Man due in court after Dooley's theft

Saint John police believes they have caught the man responsible for stealing thousands of dollars in cash from a Saint John Dooley's. Police said the Dooley's at the Prince Edward Square Mall hired an employee and after three days on the job he worked his first shift alone and stole thousands of dollars and fled. Police said he was apprehended over the weekend in Fredericton and held in jail. Money was recovered and the suspect is due in court this morning. Ray Griffin, owner of the Dooley's said he is happy the man was caught in such a short time and is hopeful that it will be a deterrent to anyone thinking of committing a similar crime.
