Student honoured for music, leadership skills

SAINT JOHN - Martin Davidson was one of 12 students honoured in Toronto this month with a Fred Sherratt award.

Fred Sherratt is the broadcasting pioneer notable for building CHUM into one of Canada's largest media companies and was inducted into the Canadian Broadcasters Broadcast Hall of Fame.

Davidson is a student at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, N.S. He was honoured for his dedication to music and leadership skills.

He was given a $3,500 cash prize, a trip to Toronto and an educational day at MuchMusic and CHUM Radio.
