Blood clinic slated June 9

GRAND BAY-WESTFIELD - A community blood donor clinic will be held in Grand Bay-Westfield on Tuesday, June 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. It will be held at the fire station on River Valley Drive. Call 1-800-2-DONATE to book an appointment.

Cleanup

Residents will spruce up Sussex

SUSSEX - The Community Cleanup in Sussex is being held on Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. until noon as part of June's Recreation Month. Residents will be cleaning parks, streets and green spaces of litter. Volunteers will gather at Burton Park in front of the 8th Hussars Sports Centre at 9 a.m. to divide into groups and hit as many areas of Sussex as possible. At noon there will be a free hotdog and hamburger barbecue for all participants. Call the recreation department at 432-4573 to register.
