Saturday

* PVR-less followers of the Harper's Island murder mystery series now have reason to stay in on Saturday nights. Network officials shifted the slasher show from Friday evening to Saturday last week, but insisted it's not a sign that the show is doing poorly in the ratings. Rather, they say the show is doing so well in the areas of PVR and online streaming, it can fare well even outside the cushy Thursday night slot. Those tuning in tonight can expect to see, well, yet another murder! (CBS)

* A comedy treat is served up in the Canadian premiere of George Carlin: On Location at USC, which showcases the early career of the late standup star who was considered one of the greatest of all time. Filmed in the summer of 1977 at the University of Southern California, the special sees Carlin exploring topics including flying on planes, dirty words, supermarkets, and walking. Sunday

* Rescue Me is heart wrenching tonight as Tommy (Denis Leary) gets hold of footage from the 9-11 attacks and thinks he sees his dead cousin Jimmy in it. Tommy even starts seeing a psychic in a desperate attempt to communicate with Jimmy. Meanwhile, Sheila burns all photos she has of Tommy. (Showcase)

* The rest of the schedule is flooded with season finales, including Cold Case, featuring guest star Jesse Plemons of Friday Night Lights (Global, CBS); No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency (HBO Canada); The Unit (CBS); Brothers & Sisters (Global, ABC); and Celebrity Apprentice, which sees the final two organizing a party before a performance of a Cirque du Soleil show.
