SUSSEX - Police in Sussex are not messing around with the use of paint guns in their jurisdiction.
Sgt. Bruce Reid of the Sussex RCMP said police were called to homes in Smiths Creek one morning last week to find three homes on Highway 890 had been struck with paintballs overnight. Then about an hour later, police were called to Queen Street in Sussex after a complaint that a home there had also been struck with paint balls over night, leaving a colourful mess.
"Police take these offences seriously," Reid said. "At this time, no one has been injured, however, paint balls could cause serious injury to someone if they were struck in the face."
There are no suspects in either case. The investigations are continuing.
