Crypts, ghosts and Supernanny
Published Friday October 10th, 2008

Here's what's happening today on the small screen:
* On the innovative new Canadian sci-fi series Sanctuary, Helen, Ashley and Will free three women from a crypt in Scotland. (The Movie Network, Movie Central)
* Rachel Leigh Cook guests on Ghost Whisperer as a former high school friend to Melinda. The two reconnect after the death of a former classmate. (CTV, CBS)
* Wife Swap once again shakes up the lives of two completely different people. This time it involves "a weight-lifting mom who can bench-press 341 pounds" and "a genteel mom who gives tea parties and strongly believes in etiquette." (A, ABC)
* Deaf parents raising four hearing children are profiled in Supernanny. (CTV)
* On the new series The Ex List, which is so far pleasing the critics, Bella - the lead character who is trying to find her soulmate - hooks up with a reformed slacker who is now obsessed with exercising. (CBS)
* For something with substance, click to The Cocaine Diaries, where Blur bassist Alex James - a self-professed ex-cocaine user - travels to Colombia to see firsthand what the drug trade is doing to the country. The journey forces James to reflect on his past addiction to the white powder. (Documentary)
* On Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, our resident redhead co-hosts a Humane Society fundraiser in Silicon Valley. (The Comedy Network)
* Film choices include the surreal Tim Burton classic comedy Beetlejuice, starring Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin as a dead couple tormented by an obnoxious exorcist (Michael Keaton). Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara co-star. (Family Channel)
