  • Alan A. Reeves Alan Arthur Reeves,79, of Royal Court and formerly of Cleveland Ave. Riverview passed away Monday, June 9, 2003 at the Moncton Hospital. Born at Watford, England he was the only child of the late Arthur and Lizzie (Boxall) Reeves. A veteran of World War II, he served as a navigator with the R.A.F. in the Burma Campaign. Alan worked as a Television repairman for the T. Eaton Co. in Moncton and then moved to Oshawa On. where he was employed as an electrical inspector before returning to Moncton to work for the City where he retired as supervisor of the water department. He was an avid Ham Radio operator (VE1AMT) since 1946 and enjoyed many long distance friendships and was an active member of the Moncton Seventh Day Adventist Church having been Head Elder for many years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 21, Sussex. Alan married his beloved wife, Grace E. (Graves) December 30, 1944 who he leaves to mourn and their only son, Tony and his wife, Lorraine of Lacombe AB.; two grandchildren, Niki and Ryan (Tiffany), and nieces and nephews. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Friday 7-9 p.m. The Sussex Branch, Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a memorial service Friday at 6:45 p.m. at the Funeral Home. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, June 14 at 2:30 P.M. with Barry Hubley officiating. Interment will be at the Anagance Cemetery. If so desired memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Friends of the Moncton Hospital would be appreciated by the family. www.keirsteads.ca

  • STICKNEY, MYRTLE GRACE (NEE PORTER) Myrtle Grace Stickney (nee Porter), 73, of Florenceville, NB, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at the Northern Carleton Hospital, Bath. She was the daughter of the late Basil and Marguirete (McGuire) Porter. Myrtle is survived by daughters, Janice MacDonald (Daniel Etheridge) of Oromocto, Carol Stickney of Florenceville, and Gail Stickney -Mills (Peter) of Aurora, ON, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, sisters, Ruby Anderson and Joyce Forman, brothers Charlie and Rankin Porter. Predeceased by her parents, husband, Ernest Dow Stickney and son, Gary Stickney. The family will receive friends Thursday evening 7-9 p.m. from the Faith Memorial United Church, Florenceville, NB. Memorial service to be held on Friday at 1 p.m. from the church. Rev. Robert McCarthy to officiate. Interment will take place in the Stephenson Cemetery.
