  • KEETCH, DOROTHY (MCQUINN) Dorothy (McQuinn) Keetch of Maugerville, widow of George Keetch, passed away at the Oromocto Public Hospital on September 3rd, 2003. She is survived by one son, Stephen (Sherry) Keetch of Mill Cove and one daughter, Sharon (Winslow) MacDonald of Noonan; one sister, Edith Rumble and one brother, Chester (Violet) McQuinn of Ontario; sister-in-laws, Thelma Fullarton and Ethel McQuinn of Fredericton, several nieces and nephews. Grandchildren, Stephanie(Dana) Springer of Alberta; Angela (Jason Godbout) Keetch of NWT, Amanda (Everette Hanson) Vezina; Cindy (Derek Whalen) Keetch and Timothy (Christina Munn) MacDonald all of Maugerville. Great grandchildren, Tommy and Gabriel Vezina, Stephen and Olivia Hanson, Morgan Moss, Caitlin Springer and Lucas Keetch. Dorothy enjoyed bowling with the Nashwaaksis Seniors Bowling League. She was a member of the Oromocto Senior Club and the Maugerville W.I. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband in l999, her parents John and Lily McQuinn, son Donald, daughter Nancy, brothers Russell and Roy. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Select Communnity Funeral Home Friday September 5th, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from the Maugerville Baptist Church Saturday, September 6th, 2003 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Charles Harvey officiating. Interment will take place in the Maugerville Baptist Cemetery. In her memory donations to the Canadian Diabetic Assoc. or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. www.oromoctofh.com

  • FIDLER, MURIEL The death of Joy Muriel Fidler of Minto, NB, occurred Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at the Queen's North Health Complex. Joy is survived by a step-son, Jim Fidler of Minto, a step-daughter Linda Moran (Brian) of New Glasgow, NS and their 2 children, Tracy Moren and J-Ann Turnbull; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Willard Fidler (1987) and one sister. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home, (327-3490) with visitation this evening (Thursday) from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2003 at the United Baptist Church of Minto with Mary Thurrott and Pastor Kaj Binderup officiating. Interment will take place in the United Baptist Cemetery, Minto, NB. For those who wish, donations made to the United Baptist Church of Minto would be appreciated by the family.

  • ARBEAU, JAMES "JIM" STERLING The death of James "Jim" Sterling Arbeau of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Evelyn (Peterson) Arbeau occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday, September 2, 2003. Mr. Arbeau was born in Upper Blackville, NB on October 31, 1915. He is survived by six sons, Virgil (Shirley) of Noonan, Darrel (Marilyn) of Fredericton, Ronald of Noonan, Alfred (Danette) of Hoyt, Timothy and Andrew (Lori) both of Hamilton, On.; six daughters, Marilyn (Bruce) Arbeau of Fredericton, Peggy (Paul) MacAloney of Cambridge, On., Florence (Lonnie) Whaley of Hamilton, On., Pansy Arbeau of Fredericton, Doris Arbeau of Quesnel, BC and Rosemary Arbeau of Montreal, Quebec; 39 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren; one brother, Allen Arbeau of Newfoundland; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by one daughter, Maisie Arbeau; one infant son, Carl; one daughter-in-law, Mary Arbeau; a grandson, Gordon; three great great granddaughters, Chloe, twins - Faith and Hope; three brothers, William, Cecil and Arthur; and one sister, Helen. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, Brookside Drive at Douglas Avenue, Fredericton North, on Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2003 at 11 am from the York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB with Rev. George Corney officiating. Interment will be in the Upper Blackville Pentecostal Cemetery, Upper Blackville on Saturday at 3 PM with Rev. Regich officiating. For those who wish, remembrances to the New Brunswick Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Cancer Research Society would be appreciated by the family.
