  • Charles W. Carter MIDDLESEX,NB - Charles William Carter, 47, of Middlesex passed away late Wednesday February 27,2002 at The Moncton Hospital following a sudden illness. Born in Moncton he was a son of Marguerite (McCormick) Wier and the late Royce Carter. Charles was a mechanic with the Worker's Co-Op Auto Center, Moncton and enjoyed playing darts with friends in Riverview. Survived by his mother Marguerite Wier of Middlesex; his beloved wife Elaine (Robb), daughters Melanie of River Glade, Tina of Middlesex, Cindy of Dieppe; grandchildren Jessica, Patrick, Kassandra, and Katlin; a brother Allison Colpitts of Saint John and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Friday 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held from the funeral home on Saturday at 2 p.m. with pastor Rodney Blyth officiating.   • Zoel Belliveau Zoel Belliveau, 78, of Residence Belle Aventure, Moncton, (formerly of College-Bridge), passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born St-Anne de Kent, on February 16, 1924, he was the son of the late Levi Belliveau and Ida LeBlanc. Mr. Belliveau was a custodian for 17 years, Vanier School, District 1. He is survived by his wife Agathe (LeBlanc) Belliveau; four step-daughters, Clarita (Gerard) LeBlanc of Memramcook Lake, Géraine (Ernest) Hache of Irishtown, Carmella (Albert) Bourgeois of College-Bridge, Denise (Alonzo) Belliveau of College-Bridge; one step-son, Georges (Suzanne) Richard of College-Bridge; seven sisters, Emerise (late Philippe) Leger of Bouctouche, Noëla (Joe) Mills of Moncton, Marie-Paul (Stanley) Hebert of Moncton, Edna (late Romeo) McGraw of Tracadie, Edmée Robichaud of Moncton, Stella (late Ernest) LeBlanc of Bouctouche, Rebecca (Albert) Lirette of Moncton; one brother, Felix (Viola) Belliveau of Moncton; nine step grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Anna, Delia, Dora and Amédée. Resting at Dupuis Funeral Home Ltd. with visiting hours Thursday, February 28, 2002 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, March 1, 2002 from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Funeral services Friday, March 1, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at St-Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church. Interment at St-Thomas Cemetery.

  • Kathleen "Kay" R. Lunn 1912 - 2002 Kathleen "Kay" R. Lunn, age 89 of K. E. Spencer Memorial Home, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and special friend Krystal, on Wednesday, February 27, 2002 Born in Moncton, NB on March 1, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Iva (Jonah) Lockhart. She was a former office clerk at the T. Eaton Co. Moncton. She was a member of the Lewisville United Baptist W.M.S. and a member of the Keen Ager Group within the church. She is survived by her daughter Lois Nicholson (Gary) of Moncton; son Kenneth (Sylvia) of Moncton; sister Elaine Cook (Ken) of Halifax, NS. ; grandchildren, Mary Ann Borthwick (Doug), Crystal Holmes, Julie Mitton, Nadine Reid (Randy), Jackie Reid (Darren), Jamie MacLeod (Tobi) and Katrina Lunn; great grandchildren, Autumn, Myles, Zack, Hannah, and Meaghan. Also by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Millard D. Lunn in 1982, and by her sister Hilda MacLean. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. Moncton on Friday March 1, 2002 from 2:00-4:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held at The Lewisville United Baptist Church on Saturday, March 2, 2002 at 10:00 am with Rev. Gordon MacLeod officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in the Spring. In Kay's memory, Donations made to The New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by her family.   • John Paul LeBlanc HALIFAX, NS - John Paul LeBlanc, 80, of Halifax passed away in Camp Hill Veterans' Memorial Building, QE II, on Saturday evening, January 26, 2002. Born in St. Anselme, he was the son of the late Raoul and Lyda LeBlanc. He is survived by his wife, Trudy (Tansey); sisters, Yvette Hamel, Mississauga, Rachel Wedge, Moncton, Germaine Goguen, Moncton, Lucille LeBlanc, St. Bruno; children, Anne (Alan) Mongraw, Riverview, Greg (Sallie), Ottawa, Jan (Matt), Napier, Halifax, David (Patty), Edmonton; grandchildren Matt and Ainsley Mongraw, Greg, Laura and Sarah Napier, John Paul, Mark, Michael and David LeBlanc. He was predeceased by his brother, Gilbert, and his sister, Jeanette Bourgeois. John was a Second World War veteran serving in the RCAF and RAF. He had a distinguished career as a civil servant and retired in 1982 as Director General, Nova Scotia Region, Employment and Immigration Canada. In later years, he was a sailor, freelance writer, author ("Pier 21: The Gateway that Changed Canada") and tireless volunteer. A brave and heroic man to the end, John "J.P.", "Dad", "Grandad" will be deeply missed by his family, colleagues and friends. The funeral was held at Canadian Martyrs' Roman Catholic Church in Halifax. Burial will take place at a later date.

  • Muriel M. Keith Muriel M. Keith, 86, widow of the late E. Wendell Keith (December 2001), of Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton, formerly of Royal Court, Riverview, and formerly of Maple St., Moncton, passed away at her residence on Wednesday February 27, 2002. Born in Dorchester, daughter of the late Harold and Mildred (McGinnis) Thompson. Mildred was retired from T. Eaton Co. jewellery department, with 26 years service, member of Highfiled St. United Baptist Church, the Adult Bible Class, Highfield Young at Heart Club, Past President of Thirty-Nine Club, member of The Moncton Kinette Club. Mildred will be sadly missed by her daughter, Judy Phillips (Ed), Moncton; sons, Harold (Sylvia), St. Thomas de Kent, David (Pam), Moncton; grandchildren, Scott, Kevin, Wendy, Rick, Derrick, Kelly, Abbey, Jason, John; great grandchildren, Noah, Hannah, Marissa, Alexandra, Olivia; sister, Prema Briggs, Moncton; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, predeceased by sister Joan; brother Harold Jr.. No visitation by personal request. Memorial service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton Friday March 1, 2002, 1:30 pm, Rev. Robert Knowles officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Cemetery.
