Classic Albums Live's presentation of The Beatles' Abbey Road comes to Saint John's Imperial Theatre, at 8 p.m. In a thrilling concert for all Beatles fans, Abbey Road will be recreated live on stage note for note, cut for cut, by top-notch musicians. The Saint John Volunteer Centre Training Resources, The Saint John Suicide Prevention Committee and the Canadian Mental Health Association Saint John Branch is offering training in safeTALK (Suicide Alertness For Everyone) from 9 a.m. to noon at the Saint John Volunteer Centre, 66 Waterloo St., Suite 224. Learn how to provide practical help to persons with thoughts of suicide. Expect to leave safeTALK more willing and able to perform an important helping role for persons with thoughts of suicide. Facilitators are Lorene Johnson & Sherry Lapointe Booy. This is a certificate course. The fee is $10 and seating is limited to 25. A Regional Heritage Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the New Brunswick Museum, 1 Market Square, Saint John. Enjoy the research and presentation work of local students as they offer their Heritage Fair projects for judging in hopes of being chosen for a province wide competition. The official opening is at 9 a.m. Regular museum admission applies. The free Regional Heritage Fair Awards Ceremony will take place from 6-7 p.m., applauding the achievements of local youth who will be receiving awards for their Heritage Fair projects. The Saint John Community Arts Funding Program presentation ceremony takes place at 10:30 a.m. at the Saint John Arts Centre. Mayor Norman McFarlane will present grant cheques to the successful applicants of this year's program, developed by the Saint John Community Arts Board to assist Saint John-based arts and cultural organizations with projects and/or festivals.
