I took this photo on Oct. 23 on the waterfront at Irving Pulp & Paper. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen a snow goose in New Brunswick. – David Jarvis, Saint John As seen in the picture, the snow goose is noticeably smaller than the average Canada Goose. It’s northern breeder, nesting on the high Arctic tundra and normally migrating west of us to wintering areas along the central and southern Atlantic Coast and the Gulf of Mexico. Adults are pure white with pink beaks and black wing tips while immatures are a more smoky white with a dark bill. – Jim Wilson
