He says he wants to keep the growing town as sustainable as possible.

"I will make every effort to base all decisions on social, economic and environmental sustainability," said Baisley.

Though born in Miramichi in 1967, he moved to Quispamsis in 1975 and has resided there since. As a father of four - his children's ages range from 10 to 18 - he has grown to appreciate the need for recreation in the community.

"Through my involvement with several sports related activities with my children, I understand and support the need for additional recreation for our youth."

Baisley has an extensive background in excavation, infrastructure and development. Through that, he says he offers the community of Quispamsis a "commitment to excellence in leadership and, most importantly, my team-building skills."

He says that if elected, it will be his priority to listen to and act upon his fellow residents' voices.

"I believe that I will be a forward-thinking councillor who will offer the residents of Quispamsis a clear, alternative choice, a progressive thinker who is not afraid of new and exciting ideas."

Municipal elections will be taking place across the province this upcoming Monday.
