Sad that not one woman sits on council. Way to go Saint John! Debbie McCormack would have been an asset to your council but sadly you did not choose her. It will be a LONG 4 years!!!

Personally I was more of a supporter of John Ferguson but I'm not that bothered by having Ivan Court as our mayor. He was a clear choice and the majority of Saint john has spoken.

As it relates to women not being on the council I would have loved to see at least 1 woman there and there still is a chance with a recount likely happening in Ward 2 between Carl White & Patty Higgins. I think the best people should be in whether your a man or a woman that shouldn't make any difference. That being said this is part of the problem with the Ward system I would have voted for Patty Higgins in a heart beat but I can't vote for her because she's in the wrong Ward.

It should be interesting to see how well things go between Ivan Court and Stephen Chase given their history.

I'm satisfied with this group but then again I was one of the many who let norm sit in the mayor's chair and I've been kicking myself for 4 years now.

Patty is part of the Ivan squad and I don't know if you listened to her during the ward debate but she is hardly someone we want on council. Sadly Carl is a better choice, or at least the lesser of the two evils.
