Diane Bormke and Veterans Affairs Minister Greg Thompson, the MP for Southwest New Brunswick, chat outside at the Westfield Golf and Country Club. Thompson was guest speaker at a dinner in honour of Bormke, the owner of River Valley News who is currently undergoing cancer treatment. Funds raised from the $60-per-plate event went toward an educational fund at Saint John High School in Bormke's name. More than $12,000, which included donations, was raised with 160 people attending.
