Film focuses on natives

ST. ANDREWS - The St. Andrews Film Society will be showing the documentary N'tolonapemk on Sunday.

The documentary is about the society and culture of the Passamaquoddy in the centuries before Europeans arrived. The 2006 English-language documentary, produced by the Passamaquoddy Tribal Historic Preservation Office, will be presented by the St. Andrews Film Society at the W. C. O'Neill Arena Theatre at 7:30 p.m.

Hugh Akagi of St. Andrews, chief of the New Brunswick Passamaquoddy, will be on hand to lead a discussion after the screening. The film is free but $3 for members and $4 for non-members is suggested.
