A ventriloquist's christmas
Published Friday December 5th, 2008

Here's what's happening today on the small screen:
* Tonight's episode of the recently cancelled Lipstick Jungle has an appropriate title: Bye, Bye Baby. Nico and Kirby see their relationship change as they take care of baby Charlie. (Citytv, NBC)
* Jeff Dunham's Very Special Christmas Special is not your average feel-good holiday program. Starring the American ventriloquist and standup comedian, it offers edgy festive jokes from puppets including Melvin the Superhero and Achmed the Suicide Bomber. (The Comedy Network)
* For something with more sentiment, check out Greatest Holiday Moments: TV & Film Countdown. Included are clips of the holiday staples Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, It's a Wonderful Life and Home Alone. (Citytv, NBC)
* American rocker Eddie Money, whose 1980s hits include Take Me Home Tonight, sings karaoke-style with his daughter on the game show Don't Forget the Lyrics. The two try to raise money for an AIDS charity. (A, Fox)
* Actress and Thighmaster queen Suzanne Somers dishes on her life on The Hour With George Stroumboulopoulos. Filmmaker Kevin Smith, who directed the recently released comedy Zack and Miri Make a Porno, is also on the program. (CBC)
* Melinda of Ghost Whisperer continues to help the dead find peace when she solves a missing person case. (CTV, CBS)
* Take a wedding-dress sale, add a raging crowd of excited brides-to-be, and what do you get? Chaos, according to tonight's Say Yes to the Dress. (TLC)
