Alien tricks on 'Torchwood'
Published Friday August 29th, 2008

Here's what's happening today on the small screen:
* Comedian Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List rides a float in Sydney, Australia, for the Gay Mardi Gras Parade. (The Comedy Network)
* Yet another party is taking place on Swingtown - this time it's a surprise for Janet's birthday. Of course, no gathering filled with a bunch of swingers can go down without drama. (CBS, Global)
* While some of the saliva-swapping neighbours of Swingtown may wish to forget their behaviour after tonight's booze-filled party, the Torchwood clan will be fighting hard to remember things. That's because an alien called Adam is working to change and erase their memories, making them do odd things like profess their love for people they never fancied in the past. (Space)
* For real-life oddities and intriguing stories, check out new episodes of 20/20 (ABC) and Dateline NBC. (NBC)
* On the film docket is the 1996 drama Courage Under Fire, starring Denzel Washington as a military official dealing with his own demons from the war zone while investigating the death of a helicopter pilot in Desert Storm. Meg Ryan plays the pilot, who is posthumously nominated for a medal of honour for alleged heroic acts that may not have happened. Matt Damon also stars. (APTN)
