Katie Rox, former frontwoman of the industrial rock outfit Jackalope, unplugs for a solo acoustic tour. Is the world really heading for a "climate crisis?" Is Gore's message science or science fiction? Do we truly need a carbon tax to save the planet? These questions will be discussed in a talk Climate, Gore, and carbon (taxes) by Ian McQueen, under the auspices of the local chapter of the Canadian Nuclear Society. The talk takes place at 7 p.m. at the Saint John Free Public Library (multi-purpose room). The format is part talk and part coffee, doughnuts and informal discussion.

Music In The Park at the Quispamsis Arts & Culture Park presents traditional/roots music by Mason's Tender from 7-8 p.m. Bring blankets and chairs and enjoy the show. An archaeology expert visits the New Brunswick Museum, One Market Square, Saint John, at 7 p.m. In conjunction with the travelling exhibition "Defiant Beauty," Kevin McAleese, curator of archaeology and ethnology at The Rooms - Provincial Museum of Newfoundland, will outline the 19th century travels of William Hind among Labrador/Quebec Innu and compare these travels with similar historic expedition travel and partnerships between European visitors and Aboriginal residents.This event is free.
