HALIFAX - The Atlantic regional finalists for the 2008 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards include four New Brunswick entries.

The Canadian program celebrates its 15 anniversary this year. The Atlantic region winners will be announced at a gala awards banquet at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel on Oct. 9. The overall winner will represent the region at the national banquet in November.

The N.B. entries in the Business-to-Consumer Products and Services cetegory include Armand Haché and Pauline Haché of Haché Services Techniques Ltée in Caraquet, who provide shop drawings to steel frame manufacturers.

Trevor Cookson, Mary Goggin, Al MacDonald of Accreon Inc. of Fredericton are competing in the Emerging Entrepreneur cetegory. Their company provides information technology service provider to government, health-care and financial businesses.

Alyson Townsend of Canadian Cable Systems Alliance in Quispamsis is entered in the services category. This company acts as a purchasing group and regulatory advocate for Canadian independent cable television companies.

Curtis Howe of Mariner Partners Inc. of Saint John is vying in the commercial category. This consulting and information technology company focuses on the IPTV and business productivity solutions.
